Police hunt jewel thieves

diamOND rings and gold necklaces were stolen from a jeweller’s in Bolsover, police have revealed.

They were taken from TH Harrison and Son, Town End, on Tuesday afternoon, when a member of staff was distracted by a man who came in to ask her about items of jewellery on display.

While she was busy helping the customer, a man and woman who had walked into the shop earlier stole the jewellery.

The man and woman who took the items are both described as in their 40s and with tanned complexions.

The man had dark hair and was wearing black trousers, black shoes, a white shirt and a grey suit jacket.

The woman had long, straight, dark hair and was wearing a white blouse, white jacket and dark blue skinny jeans. She was carrying a large, dark brown leather bag.

The man who distracted the shop assistant was tanned, in his late 30s, slim and wearing a dark tracksuit with a Puma logo on the leg. He had very short dark hair.
