Detective Sergeant Stafford Megson said: “I hope this sends a stark message that this type of organised crime won’t be tolerated in the city.”

DS Megson added: “Disruption activity like this is absolutely vital in the fight against organised crime, it puts a significant dent in the profits of those engaged in drug supply.

“The ripple effect is significant; as well as profits, it also shakes the confidence of criminal gangs who are shameless in their activity.

“This setup was discovered in the heart of the city. If you see anything concerning where you live, or have information about organised crime, then I want to hear from you.”
