Police hunt continues for organiser of illegal rave in Sheffield
A police hunt is continuing today for the organiser of an illegal Sheffield rave attended by hundreds of people.
The event, held in a disused building in Kelham Island, was busted by police officers in the early hours of last Sunday.
Officers had already handed out nine £10,000 fines to the organisers of Halloween parties in Sheffield that weekend and the rave organiser is also at risk but he has not yet been tracked down.
Officers issued the fines for breaches of Covid restrictions in place to try to halt the spread of the virus.
Officers had to break down barricades to get into the rave venue on Nursery Lane and they made one arrest.
They also seized sound equipment worth thousands of pounds.
The other £10,000 fines were handed out to organisers of events on Endcliffe Crescent, Endcliffe and Club Garden Road and Stalker Lees Road, both in Sharrow.
Anyone with information should call 101.
