A police hunt is continuing for the gunman responsible for a fatal shooting in Sheffield this week.

He was reportedly shot inside a property on Grimesthorpe Road South, Burngreave.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Oughton, the officer leading the investigation, said: “I’d like to reassure local people that we are working around the clock to bring those responsible to justice.

“While we are in the early stages of the investigation, we believe this to be an isolated incident with no risk to the wider community.”

Anyone with information about the killing or which could help detectives investigating should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 42 of November 16.
