Police growing ‘increasingly concerned' for welfare of missing Barnsley woman

Police are appealing for help to trace a missing Barnsley woman as concerns grow for her welfare.

Sarah Lee Newsome was last seen at her home address in the Shafton area at around 12:45pm on Wednesday, May 27.

She has not been seen since and police are ‘growing increasingly concerned’ for her welfare.

The 40-year-old is described as being around 5ft 11ins tall with long red hair which is greying on top and freckles.

She is of thin build, walks with a limp, and has a distinctive mark on her face from a past surgery.

Sarah was wearing a black top and leggings, dark trainers and carrying a black and gold carrier bag.

If you think you may have seen her, or if know where she might be, call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 983 of May 27.
