Police flood major Sheffield road after man shot in broad daylight
South Yorkshire Police have appealled for witnesses after a reports that a man suffered suspected gunshot wounds today (January 24).
Officers received a report at around 1pm from ambulance staff that a man, believed to be in his 20s, was being treated for suspected gunshot injuries.
Police say the incident happened in the in the London Road and Bramall Lane areas.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are in the local area carrying out initial enquiries and an investigation is in its very early stages.
