Yesterday, police were appealing for information about an incident which took place at about 2.35am, when it is reported that a dark coloured estate car, driving along Lutterworth Drive, Adwick-le-Street, stopped outside of a property and an occupant fired a weapon at the address.

Bosworth Road backs onto Lutterworth Drive but it is not known if the two incidents are connected.

Damage was caused to a car on the drive and to the downstairs window of the property. The occupants of the house, a couple and their young child, were at home at the time but were not injured.
