Police examine CCTV footage after stabbing in Sheffield city centre

CCTV footage from cameras in Sheffield city centre is being examined after a stabbing.

A 23-year-old man was attacked in Barker’s Pool at around 4.23am on Sunday, December 29.

Detectives believe a number of people were involved in the attack but no arrests have yet been made.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains, but he is expected to make a full recovery.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers are examining all CCTV in the area as part of their investigation.”
