Emergency services remained on Gresley Walk, Lowedges, for three hours until the 45-year-old man was brought to safety.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers attended Gresley Walk in Sheffield yesterday following reports of concern for a man.“The man was brought to safety by officers.

“Yorkshire Ambulance Service also attended.”
