Police have confirmed why a helicopter was flying over parts of Sheffield on Sunday morning.

The helicopter was spotted by residents in the Beauchief, Woodseats and Millhouses areas of the city at around 8am this morning (17 May), some of whom claimed it woke them up.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said it had been deployed to look for a man who was missing. He has since been found, however.
No further details were provided.
