Police confirm another shooting in Sheffield - forensics at scene

Police have confirmed another shooting in Sheffield, with forensics officers spotted at the scene.

Officers were called at around 4pm this afternoon (Wednesday 9 September) to reports of shots fired at an address on Sturton Road, Pitsmoor.

Police attended the scene and found damage to a window consistent with firearms discharge. No injuries have been reported and a cordon is in place. Police and forensics officers remained at the scene at 8pm.

It comes after a 24-year-old man was seriously injured after being shot on Abbeydale Road on Monday evening. It is not currently known if the two incidents are linked.

Police remain at the scene with Crime Scene Investigation officers.

No arrests have yet been made in relation to either shooting.
