Police closed three Sheffield roads with huge cordon after ‘car found with smashed window’
and live on Freeview channel 276
Part of Wath Road, Wake Road and Emily Road in Nether Edge are cordoned off today, with officers guarding the streets.
Crime scene investigation teams have also been deployed.
A statement released by the force said that officers were deployed to the city suburb after a car was found with a smashed window.

Hide AdNo other explanation for the level of response to the car damage has been released.
The force said: “Police responded to the Wath Road area of Sheffield this morning after a local resident reported finding a vehicle on the street with a rear window smashed.
“Officers have cordoned off the area to carry out enquiries.
“If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the area last night, please contact 101.”

Hide AdThere have been a number of shootings in and around Nether Edge over recent weeks, leaving residents fearful that there may have been another gun attack but firearms have not been referred to by the police.
Last month guns were fired in Machon Bank and nearby Glen Road, both in Nether Edge.
Windows were smashed in both incidents.
A dog was shot in nearby Abbeydale Road.
In May, two rival groups opened fire at each other in Machon Bank, Nether Edge and a house window was shot in nearby Union Street.
A 53-year-old man was also shot in Club Garden Road in neighbouring Sharrow.
