Police closed Sheffield road and man rushed to hospital after being hit by car

A 62-year-old man is in hospital after being hit by a car in Sheffield.

The man was walking along Main Road in Darnall at around 6.50pm last night (Sunday, November 22) when he was involved in a crash with a black Mercedes.

The road was sealed off while the emergency services dealt with the incident and the man was taken to hospital.

Anyone who saw the collision or might have dashcam footage is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 845.
