Police car torched in arson attack in Barnsley

A police car parked outside a police station in Barnsley was set alight in an arson attack.

The vehicle was torched in the grounds of Mapplewell police station, Church Street, Staincross, at 11pm on Thursday, June 25.

Firefighters were called to the station to extinguish the flames.

An investigation is underway into the cause of the blaze.
