Police called to 'head on' collision in South Yorkshire

Police were called today after two cars collided in the village of Aughton near Rotherham.

Shortly after 4.20pm today (19 January), emergency services were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision in Aston Lane, Sheffield, close to the junction with Mason Avenue.

Witnesses described the crash as ‘head on’.

No injuries have been confirmed at the time of writing, however police say they will provide more details on this when then can.

The road was closed for a short time while debris were cleared. It has since reopened.
