South Yorkshire Police said: “Just got back from the best job of the night. Despite trudging 1/2 a mile across Stocksbridge golf course and through heather, then acting like a sheepdog - herding 50 young lads and lasses, extinguishing a fire, and collecting beer bottles/cans, it was actually a pleasant experience.

“These 16-year olds were genuinely some of the most polite young people we have had the pleasure to meet. They've finished school today, and we wish each one that we spoke to the very best luck in the next step of their lives.”
