Police bodycam footage shows Sheffield thief arrested after racially abusing police

Dominic Denham, 50, of no fixed abode, is currently serving an 18-week jail sentence after being convicted of three counts of threatening behaviour, with two of those being racially aggravated, and an additional offence of shoplifting.
Prosecutors said Denham racially abused two police officers and made a homophobic comment towards another when he was detained and arrested on Harcourt Road. He also swore at police, who have now released footage of his arrest.

Hide AdIn the video, he appears to be attempting to hide from officers before they catch him. His solicitor claimed he was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Police captioned the footage, which is dated 28 April, “Abusive Steak Thief in Prison”. They have used various noises to cover the sound of Denham’s abuse.
