Police block tramway in Sheffield city centre 'incident'

Four marked and one unmarked police car, along with a dog unit, drove onto the tram lines near the CEX shop on High Street after the incident this evening (Friday, January 3).

It is understood the vehicles have travelled towards Snig Hill and trams are running as normal.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Because this incident is ongoing, we can give you no further information at this time.”
