Police in bid to find stolen ring taken in Sheffield burglary

A distinctive diamond ring was stolen during a burglary in Sheffield.

The ring was stolen during a raid between 7.45am and 6pm on Wednesday, December 18 after a burglar forced entry to a house in Sothall Green, Beighton.

A number of items were taken, including the distinctive ring, which South Yorkshire Police has released a photograph of in a bid to track it down.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Having exhausted all other lines of enquiry, including house-to-house enquiries, CCTV enquiries and circulating an image of the stolen ring to local businesses, officers are now asking the public for help.

“If you recognise this ring or have been offered it for sale, please get in touch. We are also keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area that day.”
