Police appeal to help find wanted man from South Yorkshire

A police search has been mounted to locate a wanted sex offender from South Yorkshire.

South Yorkshire Police said 25-year-old Thomas Braithwaite, from Barnsley is wanted for failure to comply with his Sexual Offence Notification Order.

He has also failed to comply with probation supervision requirements by refusing to make contact with his probation officer.

The police are now appealing for information as to his whereabouts.

Officers are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of wanted Barnsley man, Thomas Braithwaite.

Braithwaite is described as slim, being 5ft 10in tall with dark brown hair.

He has links to Barnsley, Sheffield and Rotherham.

In a statement on Sunday (April 11), Detective Constable Stuart White said: “Since Braithwaite breached his order and probation requirements, we have carried out enquiries to trace him.

“We are now asking for your help to find him. Please contact us with any information.”

If you know where Braithwaite might be, please call the police. The crime reference number which relates to the search is 14/18453/21.
