Police appeal for information on Sheffield bus crash that left teen 'critically ill' in hospital

Police investigating a Sheffield bus crash that has left a teenager ‘critically ill’ in hospital have appealed for witnesses to the incident.

The collision happened in Retford Road, Handsworth earlier today (Monday, December 2).

At 7.34am, it’s reported that a 52 bus was in collision with a boy as he crossed the road just prior to the junction with Beaver Hill Road.

The 13-year-old was transported to hospital with serious head injuries, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The road was cordoned off for some time while South Yorkshire Police investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
