Police appeal after £20,000 worth of railway equipment is damaged in Sheffield

British Transport Police urge witnesses and drivers with dash cam footage to come forward after £20,000 worth of railway equipment was damaged near Twentywell Lane in Dore and Totley.

The incident, which happened between 9pm and 9.30pm on Saturday 30 May, has left railway equipment inoperable. A man carrying a tool box was spotted walking away from the area, wearing an orange hi-vis vest and a face mask.

At the same time, a small blue car was seen entering and leaving the scene. Officers want to speak to witnesses and request dash cam footage from drivers travelling in either the direction of Twentywell Lane or towards the junction with Abbeydale Road around the time of the incident.
