From raping to possessing sickening indecent images of children, these men and women committed some of the most heinous crimes for which they were sentenced to time behind bars.
Some victims took years to muster the courage to expose the culprits to authorities, and one offender was finally brought to justice for crimes committed over 30 years ago.
Meanwhile, a man subjected his victim to a series of sickening attacks over a period of six years, starting when she was just four years old.
A woman was also put behind bars after having sex with a schoolboy twice when he was 15 years old.
In addition to prison sentences, the offenders were also listed on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
South Yorkshire Police has urged victims who have suffered sexual abuse to come forward and report it, no matter how long ago it took place.

Miroslava Belakova, aged 37, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court in May where she was jailed for 70 months for sexually abusing, making and distributing indecent images of children. Appearing alongside Belakova was 33-year-old Craig Fearn, who was also jailed for his role in the sexual abuse. The pair’s offending was discovered when officers raided Fearn’s home in The Close, Cudworth, Barnsley, in 2018 in relation to a drugs investigation.
Further investigation led to the identification of Belakova, who was arrested on suspicion of child sexual offences. Belakova pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault against a child under 13, making indecent images of children and distributing indecent images of children.
As part of the initial drugs inquiry, Fearn pleaded guilty to charges of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and possession of a prohibited weapon, namely CS gas. He was sentenced to 49 months in prison after also entering guilty pleas to charges of arranging or facilitating a child sexual offence, possession of indecent images of children and possession of extreme pornography.
At the Sheffield Crown Court hearing on Tuesday 21 June, Belakova and Fearn were told they will each serve three years on licence at the end of their sentences. The pair were also handed indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Orders. Photo: SYP
