Pervert who admitted possessing indecent images of children due to be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court

Craig Froggatt, aged 37, of Elm Court, Worsbrough Bridge, Barnsley, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on August 20 and pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs of children between July, 2015, and February, 2019.

The charges include one count of 87 category A images, another including 43 category B images, and a third including 800 category C images, with category A being the most serious.

Kirsty Pearson, prosecuting, said the case involved images of children as young as four-years-old and there are some moving images.

Deputy District Judge Phillip Houlden committed the case to Sheffield Crown Court and ordered that a probation report be considered before sentencing on September 11.

Froggatt must register his personal details with police as part of sex offender notification requirements and he was released on unconditional bail.
