People threatened with pieces of wood and a knife in Doncaster robbery

Residents were left “terrified” after four armed men broke in to a house and threatened them with what are thought to be pieces of wood and a knife.

It is alleged that then men, who had their faces covered, entered the property in North Swaithe Close, Bentley at around 12.20am on Friday February 27.

The men fled the scene after stealing high value items, including an piece of jewellery worn by one of the victims and a safe.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

Detective Constable Helaine Hardy said: “This was a vicious and nasty incident that has caused serious distress and fear.

“The residents were left terrified by the actions of this group and we would ask that anyone with information comes forward and assists with our enquiries.”
