A PEDESTRIAN was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car as he crossed a road in Sheffield.

The man was taken to the Northern General Hospital with multiple injuries but they are not believed to be serious.

He was crossing the A61 Queens Road at a traffic light controlled junction with Alderson Road when the collision occurred at 2.45pm on Friday, January 11.

A silver Toyota Yaris, which was travelling out of city, struck the pedestrian.

Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident 698.
