Owston Ferry man admits making indecent images of children

An Owston Ferry man, who has previously pleaded guilty to a string of child sex offences, has today admitted to further charges of making indecent images of children.

Steve Oatway, 56, appeared at Grimsby Crown Court today, where he pleaded guilty to seven charges relating to making and possessing over 84,000 indecent images of children.

The new string of charges relate to the time period between April 2006 and November 2014.

At a hearing in December last year, Oatway pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14 years, one count of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 16 years and one count of assault of a girl under 13 by touching.

He was remanded in custody, and is set to be sentenced for all 11 charges at a hearing at Grimsby Crown Court later this year.
