One of two men wanted over Barnsley shooting spends Christmas in custody

One of the two men, wanted by the police following a shooting in Barnsley last Friday, has chosen to spend his Christmas in custody.

South Yorkshire Police said Daniel Wogan, 22 had handed himself to the police on Wednesday (December 25).

They however, are still searching for another man, 24-year-old Nathan 'Swampy' Harrod, who remains at large.

Earlier today, the police had issued an appeal to find the two men in connection with the shooting.

A 31-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and was rushed to Barnsley hospital but expected to make a full recovery.

Nathan, who goes by the nickname "Swampy" is described as being around 6ft 2in, with mousy brown hair and a tattoo on his right arm saying 'Family is everything'.

He is known to frequent the Athersley and New Lodge areas of Barnsley.
