Hockenhull, from Grimesthorpe, was jailed for fatally stabbing his life-long friend Brett Blake in the Uniq nightclub Sheffield city centre in June 2008 when a rift developed in the S3 postcode gang they were both involved in.
Smith was the getaway driver for a gunman who shot music promoter and underworld boss, Lester Divers, outside his home in Walkley, in 2003, in a drug turf war.
