No arrests over stabbing of man left critically injured in Sheffield city centre

No arrests have yet been made over a stabbing in Sheffield city centre which left a man critically injured.

A 23-year-old man was stabbed outside the John Lewis department store in Barker’s Pool in the early hours of Sunday, December 29.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 4.20am after the injured man was found in a pool of blood.

Three men are believed to have been involved in the attack, but they have not yet been traced.

There are a number of CCTV cameras in and around Barker’s Pool but as yet footage of people of interest to detectives has not yet been released.

A cordon was erected around the crime scene in the wake of the attack for a forensic examination to be carried out.
