NEWS IN BRIEF: Tragic taxi death passenger named

THE man who died in an incident involving a taxi in Doncaster last week has been named by police as Robert Dowling.

Robert, known as Tintin, aged 27, from Carcroft, died from head injuries.

He was one of a number of people who fell from a moving taxi as it crossed St George’s Bridge. Three men and two women have been bailed.

Burglary suspect

POLICE have charged a man with burglary, assault and drugs possession after a sneak-in burglary where a set of car keys was stolen. The man was arrested on Crofton Avenue, Middlewood, Sheffield, after a break-in nearby.
