NEWS IN BRIEF: three taken to hospital following collision

THREE people were taken to hospital after they suffered suspected spinal injuries in a two-car collision in Dinnington.

A woman and two men, all believed to have been travelling in the same car, were taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary following the crash at Lordens Hill close to the junction with Doe Quarry Lane at around 6.30pm on Monday.

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house in Addison Road, Mexborough, after a large pile of rubbish was set on fire deliberately at 3am on Tuesday morning. The blaze spread to a fence and nearby shed before it was brought under control.

A SEAT Leon car was ruined after it was deliberately set on fire in Britnall Street, Attercliffe, at 5.30am on Tuesday, a van fire on Errington Close, Arbourthorne, Sheffield, had also been started deliberately, at 10pm on Friday.

A CLOTHING bank on Undergate Road, Dinnington, Rotherham, was set alight by an arsonist. The fire bug struck at 10.45pm on Sunday.
