TWO cars parked on Ulverston Road, Woodseats, Sheffield, were broken into on the same night. Police officers are also looking into the break-in of a car at the nearby Sainsbury’s supermarket.

Anyone with information can call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Car number plates were stolen from cars on Lees Hall Road, Norton Lees, and Erskine Road, Arbourthorne. Police in Sheffield are investigating.

Van set on fire

A FORD van found burning on Bell Hagg Road, Walkley, Sheffield, had been set alight deliberately. But two other van fires – on South View Rise, Loxley, and Highstone Avenue, Worsbrough Common, Barnsley – both started accidentally.

Arsonists were to blame for a Ford Focus going up in flames on New Cross Walk, Woodhouse, Sheffield, a Nissan Micra ablaze on Donovan Road, Southey Green, and a Hyundai found burning under a bridge on the Cudworth Bypass, Barnsley.

Bin blaze damage

FLAMES from a wheelie bin fire which started accidentally outside a house on Royd Avenue, Staincross, Barnsley, caused damage to the fascia boards but did not spread to the property. In Killamarsh a wheelie bin was set alight deliberately on Station Road and police are investigating another arson attack on a wheelie bin outside a property on Chiswick Court, Barrow Hill, Chesterfield.

Meet with police

A PUBLIC meeting is to be held to give residents in Tideswell the chance to have their say on issues they want tackled by their local police officers. The event is to be held at the Co-op store in Tideswell on Monday, at 7pm.

Sat navs stolen

SIX cars parked in Mosborough were broken into in the early hours of Sunday, with satellite navigation systems and cash stolen. A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.

Lead theft at house

METAL thieves stole lead from an outhouse on Upper Valley Road, Meersbrook, Sheffield. The theft has been reported to South Yorkshire Police.
