SEVENTY new jobs are set to be created at a company in Rotherham offering home care services in the town.

Ark Home Healthcare, based at Broadmarsh Business Park, has already recruited 30 members of staff but hopes to expand its workforce to 100 over the next few months.

TWO mattresses were set alight behind shops at Town Gate, Mapplewell, Barnsley, in an arson attack.

Firefighters were called to extinguish the flames at 10.30pm on Tuesday.

A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life following a blaze at a flat in Chesterfield.

The 53-year-old was quizzed by police over an incident on Macdonald Close, Grassmoor, at 6.05pm on Saturday.

A VAUXHALL Corsa found alight on Long Lane, Loxley, Sheffield, had been deliberately set alight.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at 3.05am yesterday.

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to deal with a skip set alight on Manvers Road, Swallownest, Rotherham.

The incident was reported at 2.35am yesterday.

A PRIMARY school is jumping for joy thanks to Specsavers at Crystal Peaks, which has agreed to pay for two bouncy castles at its summer fair. Mosborough Primary School’s annual summer fair is on Saturday, July 7, from 12 until 4pm.
