New photo issued in search for missing Sheffield teen

Officers searching for missing Sheffield 16-year-old Jaiyan Schmidt have shared a new photo of the teenager.

Jaiyan was last seen on Wednesday August 19 near to Ponds Forge leisure centre in Sheffield city centre.

He is described as being of slim build, 6ft 2in tall, with short cropped black hair and some facial hair.

Jaiyan was last seen wearing black jeans, a Nike jumper and carrying a Nike drawstring bag.

Officers believe he could be in either the Wybourn, Abbeyfield Road, Beighton or Aughton areas of the city and are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

They have asked members of the public who lives in these areas to keep an eye out for him and continue to share their appeals across social media.

If you have any information about where Jaiyan is or where he is staying, please call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 292 of 18 August.
