FIVE vehicles were set alight in an arson attack at a car lot in Sheffield. The three cars and two vans were found burning on Fife Street, Wincobank, at around 10pm and firefighters spend an hour extinguishing the flames.

A Ford Mondeo and Focus, a VW Polo, a Nissan Interstar and a Vauxhall Vivaro were involved.

A Peugeot 406 was destroyed in an arson attack on Ellesmere Road, Burngreave, Sheffield, at around 10.20pm on Monday.

Metal pipes stolen

METAL pipes were stolen from an outhouse on Pearson Place, Norton Lees, Sheffield. A burglar was disturbed while trying to steal from a house on Nicholson Road, Heeley, Sheffield at around 9.30pm last Saturday. He had sneaked in through an insecure door.

Break-in at house

A HOME on Warminster Gardens, Norton Lees, Sheffield, was broken into when a door was forced open and a property on Erskine Crescent, Arbourthorne, was raided by a burglar who got in through an insecure window.
