The 15 criminals pictured here have all been jailed during Sheffield Crown Court hearings held over the last few weeks for shocking crimes including murder, rape and grievous bodily harm.
Sheffield judges have sent each of the defendants pictured here to begin sentences at His Majesty's Pleasure, with terms ranging from 22 months to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 20 years.
Some of these individuals acknowledged their wrongdoing by entering guilty pleas to the charges they faced, while others were found guilty after a jury trial at the same court.

![Courtney Wild was arrested after officers executed an early morning warrant at an address on Albert Road due to suspicions drugs were being dealt from the property.
Officers had gathered intelligence that Wild was heavily involved in a commercial ring-and-bring drugs line operating in the South West of the city in which drugs could be ordered and supplied.
Within the property, officers found almost £1,000 of heroin and £300 worth of crack cocaine, as well as drug supply equipment. Over £2,200 of cash was also discovered, as well as 13 mobile phones, several of which were linked to numbers associated with the drugs line.
The 26-year-old claimed she had no connection to the property, however, upon searching the premises, officers found clear evidence that Wild was staying there. Wild’s clothes were found in the washing machine and bags of her possessions were also found within.
Courtney Wild, of Chesterfield Road, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, and possession with intent to supply heroin. Wild was remanded into custody and recalled to prison, as she was already on license from prison for drugs offences at the time of her arrest.
Wild pleaded guilty to the offences and was jailed for three years at Sheffield Crown Court on February 1, 2024.](https://www.thestar.co.uk/jpim-static/image/2024/02/13/15/27/Courtney%20Wild.jpg?crop=3:2&width=800)

![Jerome Macalla, 33, overpowered his victim and forced his way into her home before locking the door, keeping the key and subjecting her to a vile sexual attack.
The woman was left crying and put a pillow over her face as Macalla, of Arden Road, Birmingham, raped her before leaving the address.
Macalla went on to make terrifying threats to his victim as he told he would "shoot her in the face" and "make her life a misery" if she reported his crimes to police. He also said he would “take her head off” if any police officers came to arrest him.
His victim was so scared, she had to flee to a friend's house due to the severity of Macalla's threats, and officers arrested him on 17 June 2023 when he was found with a shovel attempting to break into her home.
After being arrested last year, Macalla was brought into custody and later charged with rape, harassment, criminal damage, sending threatening messages, possession of the Class B drug cannabis and driving while disqualified.
He admitted driving while disqualified, criminal damage and possession of cannabis but denied raping and harassing his victim.
However, a trial at Sheffield Crown Court saw Macalla found guilty by a jury of the last two offences. On January 31, 2024, Macalla was jailed for a total of 12 years.](https://www.thestar.co.uk/jpim-static/image/2024/02/13/15/31/Jerome%20Macalla.jpg?crop=3:2&width=800)

![On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Paul Cousans has appeared at Sheffield Crown Court to face the consequences of his actions. After stabbing his partner to death at their home address on Saturday, August 5, 2023, he has now been sentenced to 19 years in prison.
Kelli Bothwell, 53, had been out to a local bar with Cousans on the night she died. There was no sign of what was to come when they walked the short distance home. Kelli later rang 999 and while police responded to her address, Cousans stabbed her twice in the back.
After stabbing his partner, Cousans then stabbed himself in the chest and officers found him laying on top of Kelli, still conscious. Kelli never regained consciousness and a post mortem concluded that she died as a result of those stab wounds.](https://www.thestar.co.uk/jpim-static/image/2024/02/13/15/54/Paul%20Cousans.jpg?crop=3:2&width=800)
