Murder trial in Sheffield continues after fatal stabbing of young dad

Three men and a teenage boy accused of murder are due in court in Sheffield again today as their trial continues.

Nicki Humphrey, aged 42, of Avenue Grove, Harrogate; Callum Ramsey, 18, of Batworth Drive, Shirecliffe; Jervaise Bennett, 20, of no fixed abode and a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are all accused of the murder of 21-year-old Lewis Bagshaw, who was killed last July.

Mr Bagshaw, a young dad, was found stabbed in Piper Crescent, Southey and later died in hospital.

The murder is alleged to have followed an incident in which Mr Bagshaw’s father was attacked by Humphrey and the 17-year-old in a dispute over drugs.

Mr Bagshaw is said to have confronted the boy over the attack.

Jurors were told that on a later occasion Humphrey, the 17-year-old, Ramsey and Bennett saw Mr Bagshaw getting out of a car and he was chased and stabbed.

The trial continues.
