A murder suspect is due in court today over the fatal stabbing of a man in Sheffield.

Thamraze Khan, aged 30, of Club Garden Road, Highfield, has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Kamran Khan, who was knifed in his chest in the early hours of Sunday, November 15.

Kamran was found seriously injured on the ground in Club Garden Road and was taken to hospital but could not be saved.

His alleged killer has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court this morning.

The police watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, is looking at South Yorkshire Police contact with Kamran Khan in the week before his death.

South Yorkshire detectives are continuing to investigate the murder and want to hear from anyone with information.
