A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man suffered fatal injuries in an incident in South Yorkshire.

The 36-year-old man was found seriously injured in Church Street, Thurnscoe, at around 4.30pm yesterday, Saturday, January 28.

He was taken to Barnsley Hospital where he later died.

Several men have been arrested and police are conducting enquiries at the scene.

A post-mortem examination of the victim’s body is expected to take place later today.
