She said: “Take a long hard look. This is what happens when someone spikes your drink.

“My usually beautiful, happy, kind, caring daughter reduced to a hysterical, pain ridden mess.

“She had seizures as her body tried to cope with whatever she had ingested. Her temperature, blood pressure and blood sugars plummeted. She was shaking, teeth chattering and groaning in agony. Babbling incoherently and sounding for all the world like a little girl as she tried to understand why someone would do this to her.

“Several hours in A&E at Northern General and discharged with bumps and grazes, a banging headache and lost faith in humanity.”

South Yorkshire Police said: “Police have received a report of an alleged drink spiking incident in Sheffield.

Absolutely so sad when young girls can't go out and relax with out worrying that some scrote has spiked their drinks. God knows what their intentions were, I dread to think. Hope the scum bag gets caught and lob the low life in prison.”

Another added: “Whoever has done this ought to be ashamed of themselves. Absolutely disgusting thing to do.”
