MOST WANTED: 28 men in Sheffield and South Yorkshire police need to speak to in May

Detectives in South Yorkshire want help in tracing a number of people believed to hold vital information about crimes including murder and rape.

South Yorkshire Police has published details of those wanted for questioning by detectives investigating a range of offences, including murder and rape

Names, photographs and descriptions of those wanted for questioning all appear on South Yorkshire Police’s website.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of those featured on the list should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Ahmed Farrah is wanted over the murder of 21-year-old Kavan Brissett, who was stabbed to death in Upperthorpe, Sheffield, in August 2018.

Mohammed Anwaar failed to appear at court to stand trial after being charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, money laundering, possession of cannabis and possession of a firearm in Sheffield.
John Eric Wells, who is in his 60s and believed to also use the names Howard Walmsley and Howard Hemmings, is wanted in connection with romance frauds, during which three victims lost more than £400,000 between them.
Vietnamese national Loi Le, aged 49, is wanted over the rape of a child in Tinsley, Sheffield, in 2012 or 2013. The victim, who is now 15, reported the matter in 2018. Le is also known as Tai Le and Cho Ngay Hanh Phuc.
Christopher Swinglehurst, aged 23, is wanted in connection with threats to damage or destroy property, malicious communications and making off without payment in Doncaster.
Leon Smith, 31, who is known to frequent the Rawmarsh area of Rotherham, has been recalled to prison.
Dale Groves, 25, is wanted in connection with the burglary of a pharmacy on Wordsworth Avenue in Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield, on March 22. He has links to Westfield, Foxhill and Southey.
