More arrests over shooting

DETECTIVES investigating a shooting in Sheffield have arrested three more men over the incident.

Armed officers were deployed to Park Hill as a precaution on Tuesday while the men, all in their 20s, were arrested and taken for questioning.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and the third on suspicion of offences believed to be connected to the incident. Police have not yet disclosed details.

The men have been bailed pending further enquiries.

The arrests followed the shooting of a 46-year-old man who was found on South Street, Park Hill, with a wounded leg on Tuesday, August 9.

Two men, Damien Tynan, aged 21, of Norwich Row, Park Hill and Ricky Lee Jones, of City Road, Sheffield, have been charged with attempted murder after the shooting. They were remanded in custody waiting for their cases to reach court.
