Missing north east Derbyshire man ‘may have travelled to Sheffield’

Police say a man who has been reported missing from his north-east Derbyshire home may have travelled to Sheffield.

Gerard Williams, aged 42, left his house, near Holmesfield, last night but has not returned and his family have been unable to contact him.

It is thought he may have travelled to Sheffield and could have caught the train from there.

However, officers say he could still be in the area and are asking the public to contact them if they see him.

Gerard is described as white, about 6ft 2ins, of stocky build with broad shoulders, and has thick brown hair.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt, and a blue coat.

If you know where he is or have any information which may assist with police with their enquiries, please call Derbyshire police on 101 quoting incident 175 of July 5.
