Men wanted by South Yorkshire Police over attack with metal bars

A 37-year-old man was seriously injured after he was chased from Park Road, Barnsley, onto California Gardens, where he was attacked with bars.

The incident is being treated as a targeted attack.

It was reported just after midnight on Tuesday, January 7 but details have only been released by South Yorkshire Police this week.

PC Laura Clarke said: “Since January officers have carried out extensive work to ensure that those involved in this incident are located and brought before the courts.

“I am now appealing to you to help us identify those in the CCTV image as we believe they hold vital information.”
