Men arrested after South Yorkshire car crash

POLICE pursued a car carrying three men and arrested them on suspicion of theft from a phone box in Chesterfield when their vehicle crashed.

Officers were called to the box on Newbold Road and found that the unit collecting the cash had been drilled.

Police were alerted to the incident at 7.15pm on Tuesday, April 3 and followed a car which then crashed at Four Lane Ends.

The men, aged 23, 26 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of theft.

The 23-year-old and 28-year-old were taken to the Chesterfield and District Royal Hospital and the 26-year-old was taken to a police station for questioning.
