The forensic pathologist who examined the deceased body of a Fahim Hersi after he suffered a fatal stab wound outside a Cineworld is due to give evidence.

An on-going Sheffield Crown Court murder trial has heard how Fahim Hersi, aged 22, of Sheffield, was stabbed in the car park at Cineworld, at Centertainment, at Meadowhall, Sheffield.

Noel Ramsey, aged 22, of Nottingham Street, Burngreave, has pleaded not guilty to murder but has admitted stabbing Mr Hersi in self-defence or accidentally.

Both Ramsey and Mr Hersi had coincidentally gone to Cineworld with friends to see gang movie Intent 2.

David Brooke, prosecuting, said there had been bad blood between Mr Hersi’s friend Osman Jama and Noel Ramsey and after a confrontation between the three men Ramsey was stabbed in the leg and Mr Hersi was fatally stabbed in the chest by Ramsey on September 21, 2018.

Ramsey’s friend Layton Morris, aged 22, of Ferrars Road, Tinsley, has denied assisting Ramsey by disposing of the knife near a bin.

Mr Brooke said the case is supported by CCTV footage showing the two groups of friends moving around the Centertainment complex.

Judge Jeremy Richardson QC told the jury today, December 9, that the forensic pathologist who examined Mr Hersi’s body is due to give evidence tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10.

Mr Brooke said Ramsey claims he stabbed Mr Hersi in self-defence after he was attacked by him and Mr Jama.

Morris claimed Ramsey was stabbed by a knife brought by others and he wanted to keep it away from them.
