Man who died following fight in Sheffield named by police

A man who died following what police believe was a fight on a Sheffield estate has been named as 53-year-old Paul Crossley.

Mr Crossley suffered a serious head injury during an altercation between a group of men on Longley Hall Way, Longley, between 9pm and 10pm on Friday, May 15.

He was taken to hospital in Sheffield to receive treatment but died yesterday morning (19 May). His family continues to be supported by our specialist officers.

Two men, aged 43 and 44, are under arrest on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody as of Wednesday afternoon.

Police still want to speak to witnesses who were in the area between 8pm and 11pm on 15 May, or anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage.
