A man exposed himself at a 33-year-old woman, who was with her four-year- old child, in Gregory Park, Heeley, between 5.30pm and 6pm on Thursday, May 7.

On Sunday, May 17, a 40-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man as she walked along Midhill Crescent, Heeley, with her toddler between 4.30pm and 4.45pm

Inspector Colette Fitzgibbons said: “I completely appreciate that incidents of this nature cause a great deal of concern and rest assured, we are taking this incredibly seriously.

“We have been working with the local community carrying out enquiries and currently we believe it is the same person involved in both offences.

“I know there’s a lot of speculation circulating on social media and I’d urge anyone who has information to contact my team directly, so that we can progress this investigation quickly.

“We have released several CCTV stills of a man we want to speak to as part of our ongoing investigation.If you recognise him then please do get in touch with us as soon as possible.

“Our enquiries so far would suggest that the suspect has a very pale complexion and appears to be wearing scruffy or dirty tracksuit bottoms.”
