Man threatened with gun after knuckleduster attack in Rotherham

A man had a gun pointed after him after he was attacked with a knuckleduster in Rotherham.

South Yorkshire Police said the 22-year-old was attacked in the Masbrough Street area of Rotherham on Wednesday, December 4.

The force said: “Police were called to reports that a 22-year-old man had been assaulted with a knuckleduster. The man also alleged that, during the assault, a firearm had been pointed at him.”Louis Ingram, 22, of Regent Street, Kimberworth, has been charged in connection with the incident.

He is accused of assault, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.He was arrested on Saturday, December 7 after officers raided an address on Regent Street and recovered a firearm, quantities of cash, around £5,000 worth of cannabis and a quantity of suspected Class A drugs.

A knuckleduster was also found.
